I mentioned this band a couple times in previous blogs - the downright splendid American band The Lost Patrol, known for their cinematic yet pushing mix of wave meets shoegaze meets surf-pop. However, good stuff should be put into the spotlight more often anyway. Especially since there is good reason to do so as of late, TLP put up two songs for free download on their website, which gives you a taste of what's coming from their currently untitled record for next year. "Calling Your Own Name" is an instant hit with great abyss-like depth. Their most recent record "Midnight Matinée" was released last October.
